Good morning Mamas! I wanted to share another yummy and super easy recipe of mine for those days when you just don’t feel like it. Sometimes I make a larger batch of this and I freeze some for a rainy day, and it has always still tasted great.
Cooking oil / spray
2 & 1/4 cups milk
1- 12oz can of evaporated milk
1 tsp salt (or to taste of course)
1/4 tsp pepper
Garlic powder to taste
2 cups of shredded cheese (I like to get a hole block and shred it myself)
2 cups uncooked macaroni noodle of choice
I spray or rub the inside of my crock pot with an oil, usually I use olive oil.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together your milk, evaporated milk, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Once mixed, pour the lovely concoction into the pot.
You can then add your cheese and your uncooked noodles. I have yet to try this with a multi blend of cheeses. If you do, please share and let me know how it is 🙂
Stir all together gently to mix
Turn the crock pot on low for about 3-4 hours. I typically only let mine go three hours. Any longer and you have crispy edges, if you like this, then keep on cooking. If you do not stir this at all while cooking, it sets sort of like a custard, sometimes I leave it like that, but the past few times I stirred it a few times and it ended up a little more creamy texture and I liked that a little bit better.
